‘Tell me something good,’ said Will Traynor to Louisa Clark. The most captivating words of the Me before You film (based on the book by Jojo Moyes). Those 4 little words inspired my Sunday morning songwriting session 😉 Let me know what you all think!
Sharing the ❤ and care around Melbourne today in Melbourne's heart shattering Friday… "In moments like this, it is indescribable beyond words. I can't even begin to express how impacted by this tragedy you all must feel right now. Just know that you are not alone in this. You have the entire world and us Melburnians standing by your side surrounding you with our love, thoughts, prayers and light to illuminate the darkest hour. With love, light and hope."🌷🌷🌷 While this is a time of remembrance of the innocent lives lost, who had so much going for them but didn't get a chance to 😓 It's also a moment that reminds us to not take things for granted. Cause everything that we may think that isn’t going our way, really pales in comparison to all this. Even if our partner's or parents nattering drives us up the wall sometimes or we’re stuck in the less than ideal jobs or when we’ve failed in our studies or drive tests- know that we’re still blessed and lucky to have those moments. Because we don’t know what happens tomorrow… So today forgive what needs to be forgiven, hold your loved ones tight and make the most of the little nuances of life 😉
So 2016 is done and dusted. And the big question… Did Unibookworm ace all the resolutions? 😉
Wow. 2016 NYE. The most pinnacle year.
And what better way to commemorate but list 22 things I learnt in 2016 before midnight?
My first article submission to Seeds4Life live! 😉
Way back when in late September/early October, I fell prone to hayfever blues. Out of the woods of it? Got inspired to write the 4 keys to looking after yourself* article for Seeds4Life.
*Granted they reworded the title (just slightly) but the content is exactly the same! Writer’s win!
A while back, the lovely Pooja @ Lifesfinewhine nominated me for the 3 Quotes a Day challenge 😉 Now that it’s the long weekend (to the Melbourne Cup) ready for 3 days of uppage?
Spring is well.. not so much fun. Fall? The best times ever. So as I was flicking through the good ol’ days of fall, figured it was about time I shared my photos of Melbourne’s hidden treasures. The irony? The Treasury Gardens ain’t as spectacular as the Fitzroy Gardens across the road!
Flashback to the time in September, I stumbled across an incredibly inspiring Instagram post by A Pretty Green Life. It was titled, ‘Negativity is a thief. It steals happiness.’ Their bottom line? We all make choices every day- choose to be positive!!’ Exactly what I needed to hear. Reading it inspired my own mantra- Life is 5% of what happens, but 95% of how you take it.
