To my awesome Unibookworm readers,
Thank you so much for your unwavering support since the beginning of my blogging journey! 😉 On June 21, Unibookworm officially is now 2 years old!
Granted the blog has gone above and beyond of what I could ever imagine. It first started small with uni tips and tricks but then blossomed to uppage corner of inspiration, stories, foodies and all things that makes Melbourne life magical 😉
Along the way, I’ve joined blogging challenges from A-Z April blogging to Shoe on the Moon, Movie Addicts Union and connected with so many talented fellow bloggers 😉 hope you’ve all enjoyed my posts as much as I have enjoyed yours!
Keep writing, smiling and sharing your stories,
Onwards and upwards to an incredible 3rd year!
P.S Exciting times are ahead, Christmas Wonderland and BIG NEWS FOR JULY! 😉
Personally for me, you know you’re a writer when you write simply for the pure joy to create something. Even if no one reads it, likes it or comments it, in all honesty it doesn’t matter. You keep writing anyway, because you do it because you love it. Because there’s nothing better than seeing your own work published in your blog with the self gratification that you created that 😉
Most of all, it’s all about being written to you and whether or not some one reads it – remains insignificant. You write because you simply want to – not for self validation. 😉
And that is why unibookworm exists! To me there’s nothing better than having my blog opened in my browser whenever I’m doing uni work, to look at what I created and astounding myself that I did that 😉 Will you join me today in being fearless in sharing your writers voice?
So, the other day, I arrived bright and early for the morning shift at my job. One coworker remarked that I looked too bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for somebody who was going to work at 6 am. I explained to her that I woke up at 4 in order to write a little before I came in, since I prefer writing in the morning. Cue the dumbfounded stare.

Happy New Year unibookworm readers!!! =) Hope you had an awesome kickstart to a brand new year! May 2015 be filled with happiness and joy no matter what comes your way!
Anyways, I just found this sweet email from WordPress and am completely awestruck at the effort they made to write up the unibookworm blog story 😉 The graphics are simply amazing! It’s a great feeling of optimism so early in the new year =)

The amazing and wonderfully talented WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog!
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 430 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 7 trips to carry that many people.
Today or roughly so, unibookworm is officially now 6 months old! It definitely has been an interesting- from the initial setup to figure out how to add menus to making it more visually attractive. To trying to promote it to other uni students! (Oh well hopefully being a Connect leader next year will draw more people…)
But that aside, I just wanted to wish my fellow 6 blog followers ( thank you for following my blog!) a very merry christmas no matter how you’ll be celebrating it. Your support means a lot to me. 😉 May the rest of your Christmas holidays be merry and bright and full of hope and happiness!
Here’s to the birthday boy who saved us all & for whatever good things that are about to come your way!
Just thought I’d post a welcome summer shout out for tomorrow. Can’t believe that it’s December 2014!! But I guess sometimes in Summer, it’s easy to become bored after being laid back (nothing wrong with that after all Dec is the festive season woo! 😉 when January hits you.
So just for an inspiration, here’s my favourite tweet by me 😉
Welcome to UniBookworm’s official blog! =)
Ever feel overwhelmed with where to start with uni? With bajillion new things to get your head around, it’s pretty understandable! From trying to understand your uni course structure and what electives to pick to how to reference ( all those years of bibliography out the window now!), there’s a multitude of things to get used to.
But don’t worry! You’ve just stumbled across the golden grail of how to ace uni ( well I think so anyway 😉 I’ve written this blog that has everything you need to know from referencing, database researching to the must need apps for uni to my personal reviews of electives/units that I’ve taken!
So here’s a bit about me…
At the moment, I’m studying at Deakin uni =) and have recently transferred courses. Originally I chose Deakin because it was the top health uni and I had my heart set on pursuing a career in nutrition and health promotion. But come 2013, found that I knew majority of the core unit knowledge and felt that I wasn’t challenged enough until I took MMM132 Management as a HR major… And it was so amazing that it inspired me to change courses that went beyond academics! Come 2014, I’m doing a Bachelor of Management in Project Management & HR and feel right at home =) But health is not completely off the cards! Will be coming back for postgrad.
So whether you’re 1st year or 3rd year uni student, I hope this blog helps you! Please note that this blog is in no way affiliated or endorsed officially by Deakin University. Everything written is my personal opinion and experience especially my subject reviews tips so make sure to check your current unit guide that the assignment that I’m talking about is the same as yours.
Happy readings! And feel free to leave comments and questions or requests if you would like me to write on something specifically! =)
Or email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org! And I’ll do my best to help!
