X is for Xocolatdl

Ahem. Just so you know, I did not just make this up just because there’s hardly any food out there that starts with X! Way back when to the Aztecs, chocolate as we know today was originally called Xocolatl 😉 (Spanish/Aztec Nahuatl descendant word). As we all know cacao beans were the cream of the crop trading/bartering goods and exalted as the highest order of food. Once they turned it to a drink (aka hot chocolate), the rest is history. * Thanks again Livestrong blog!
